Condolences

Condolence From: Shelley Bell, Columbus, OH
Condolence: This is probably one of the most difficult things I have ever had to write, which is why it has taken so long to do so. Mel was not only my manager at Chase for 14 years, she was like my second mother and very good friend who I loved very dearly. She meant the world to me and to so many other people she came into contact with. She had a great sense of humor, loved her husband, daughter, NASCAR, Grippos, camping and 4-wheeling and we enjoyed hearing her share stories about them all. She also loved her work family very much as well and the love was reciprocated. She was known by many as Momma Mel or "The Goddess". I will forever be grateful for having her in my life. She knew everything there was to know about me, both good and bad and NEVER judged me or anyone else. I am terribly sorry for your loss Bruce and Kristin. Heaven definitely gained an angel, I LOVE YOU MEL! Until we meet again.<3 <3

Condolence: I am sad that I have to write this type of memorial, but I am happy and so very grateful that I had the privilege to know and work with Mel. Always such a warm greeting and a beautiful smile, one of the very few people I hugged on sight. My heart goes out to all of her family along with my prayers. Mel was a rare person in being always genuine and I loved talking to her. May God Bless you and Keep you and keep his light shining upon you.

Condolence From: Mary Lou Dreher, Westerville, OH
Condolence: Saddened by the loss of a wonderful woman, mother, wife, friend. Every meeting I had with Mel began by talking about our daughters, both attended OU. Kristin, Mel would have a warm, loving smile and suddenly appear to be ten feet tall when speaking about you, your music, and all your accomplishments. After that, we'd drift to 4-wheeling with Bruce and NASCAR. We did manage to get about a minute of work talk in at the end of the conversation. Wishing Kristin, Bruce, family, friends and co-workers courage, strength, hope, peace, sunshine and serenity. Mel left a lasting extraordinary impression on anyone lucky enough to have known her.

Condolence From: Randal Roberts Anderson, Des Moines, IA
Condolence: Since hearing about Mel's passing I've sat at work during the day just stopping what I am doing and thinking about her. She was so good to me when I worked at Chase. She always had some extra grace for me when I know I didn't always deserve it. Mel had an amazing smile and I can still hear her standing behind me talking about going camping over the weekend. I can even still hear her telling me about how great her weekends were with Bruce. What a wonderful and amazing person that really showed me some pretty awesome grace. Love always Mel!
