You were the father everyone would have wanted. You were loved by all and were a man of your word and a man of faith. You were quick witted, never quit “flirting” with the nurses and never complained clear up to the end when we all knew how bad you were feeling. You are now pain free, not struggling for a breath and in a better place but sure are missed by the ones you left behind. I love you so much and miss you so much already.

Albert "Al" Shade Jr. was born July 8, 1933 in Columbus Ohio the son of Albert J. Shade and Helen E. Shade. He  passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was loved by all who met him and had a good word for all he met. He was quick witted and you never quite knew what he would say next. His laugh and his smile were contagious to anyone nearby. Al was an avid sports fan and loved his Buckeyes, playing softball and his years of bowling at Northern Lights. He coached for Northern Columbus Athletic Association for years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He followed Christ's example for living his life.
