On Memorial Day weekend 2017, the Westerville Sunrise Rotary Club will host the Ninth Annual Field of Heroes across from the Westerville Community Center on Cleveland Avenue in Westerville, Ohio.
The Field of Heroes is a spectacular visual display of 3,000 American flags. The 3' x 5' flags stand 8 feet tall in perfect rows and columns across a field of green. The field is set up so that visitors can walk among the flags, read dedications and reflect upon their personal heroes.
Hill Funeral Home and Cremation Services is proud to be a sponsor this inspirational event. This is an opportunity for us all to come together as a community to remember, to honor, and to heal. As a sponsor, we have the privilege of dedicating 6 flags. It is with respect and admiration that we dedicate flags in the memory of veterans whom we have had the honor of serving. Those veterans are:
Robert M. Chase, WWII Army Veteran
Robert “Fred” Coventry, Vietnam Army Veteran
Robert Dietz, WWII Army Veteran
Donald Harrison, Vietnam Navy Veteran
William B. Ross, Vietnam Navy Veteran
James B. Baker, WWII Army Veteran
For additional information regarding the event, please visit www.fieldofheroes.org .
We wish to thank all members of all military branches, past and present, for their dedicated service in keeping our great country free.
