Hello O'Ryan family - don't know if you remember me. My sister Patty and I shared the courtyard with your mom at the Worthington Woods condos. We had the little schnauzer Chloe. I didn't attend Northwoods when Linda was there but I was one of the founding members with Northwoods was a startup church. I did run into her at one of their reunions. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Linda was always such a kind and friendly person and neighbor. You have my deepest sympathy and my prayers are with all of you. God bless.

Obituary for Linda O'Ryan

Linda O'Ryan 1948-2020

Linda O'Ryan

05/24/1948 - 02/20/2020

Linda Dianne (Baker) O’Ryan, aged 71, died peacefully at the OSU James Cancer Hospital on February 20, 2020 in Columbus, OH after a long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

Linda was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and was a 1966 graduate of West High School. She attended Columbus State Community College and was a proud member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). She worked as a corporate trainer at JPMorgan Chase for over 15 years. When she wasn’t training people at work, Linda loved teaching the children in her churches, past and present, and when her health didn’t allow her to teach, she helped organize Vacation Bible Schools and other childrens’ events so that they could be “flawlessly executed.” She loved to be a second mom and give both solicited and unsolicited advice to all her “kids.” Linda was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Wayne Baker. She is survived by her loving mother Janet Marie (Converse) Robey; son Shaun O’Ryan, daughter Molly O’Ryan and daughter in-law Iva O’Ryan.

Friends may call from 4 to 5:30 PM, Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Hill Funeral Home with a memorial service at 5:30 PM Saturday. An additional Celebration of Life (Linda demanded a party!) will be held at Genoa Baptist Church on Sunday March 8, 2020, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
