Visitation hours for Family and friends are Friday, June 8, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at HILL FUNERAL HOME, Westerville. There will be a short viewing prior to burial ceremony on Saturday at 10:30 am.

I was so sad to see this posted on Facebook last night. Like Teresa, I hadn't seen Hans since our 20th Westland High School reunion, but when I think of him it's always of his easy-going way of being in the world. Such a funny, warm, friendly soul - such a wonderful smile. I'm sorry to hear that he was sick so long, glad to know that he's at peace from all that. Sending loving thoughts to his family.

Hans M. Hardgrove, 64, passed away May 30, 2018 while surrounded by family after a courageously fought 5.5-year battle with cancer. He lived life large and always with an over-the-top positive attitude! He loved people and was always quick to give others a warm smile.

He will be greatly missed by his wife and love of over 30 years, Tonya, beloved sons, Marc, (Kim) and Andrew (Ashley). Cherished grandchildren, Charlie and Lucy and former wife, Jackie Mohler. His dearly loved brothers, Mark Hardgrove (Cindy Schillig), Kenny Morris, Jr. (Elaine) and his Goddaughter, Vienna Ray, and all his loving nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his loving Mother, Marianne Morris, Father, Kenneth Morris, Sr., Sisters, Nancy Davis, and Heidi Hardgrove

His great loves included his dogs, Freddie, Presley, Franklin, Beaumont, Susie, Woodford and Philmont.

Hans was a driven entrepreneur starting at a very early age when he raised and sold cattle while in high school. He won the Grand Champion Steer at the Franklin County Fair in 1971. He was part owner of Poppies Lounge, Hardgrove Properties and most recently Hardgrove Fire Protection. He was very passionate about Life Safety, working in the Fire Protection Industry for over 25 years.

Hans was a longtime fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and the Columbus Blue Jackets where he, his sons, brothers and close friend, JD, watched many games together.

The family would like to especially thank Dr. Chidiac of Zangmeister for the compassionate care and for giving him hope. He grew found of Miles with Suncoast Hospice for his gentle caring ways. The family is also so grateful to his Sister in-law, Bambi Naftzger, their neighbors and friends who lovingly helped care for Hans.
