Obituary for Louis A. Costa

Louis A. Costa, age 91 passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 in Columbus, OH. He was born on August 24, 1924 in New Castle, PA to Antonio and Rosa Costa. Louis served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII in the China, Burma, India theatre. He graduated from Youngstown College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and worked in credit management for U.S. Steel and Republic Steel in Youngstown, OH. Louis is survived by his wife Marian (Pagliasotti) and they were married for 68 years. He is also survived by sisters Rose Paglis and Josephine Davelli. Louis and Marian have eleven children: Carolyn Costa (Lynn Thumser), Raymond Costa, Catherine (Michael) Zaino, Thomas (Barbara) Costa, Mary Anne (Christopher) Cray, Rosemary (Charles) Rotonda, Stephen (Roxanne) Costa, Anthony (Debra) Costa, Christine (Hannes) Rosskopf, John (Stephanie) Costa and James (Shahnaz) Costa. Louis is survived by 18 grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Mother Angeline McCrory Manor for the loving care they provided. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 9:30 to 10:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 N State St., Westerville, OH 43082. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am. Rev. Fr. David Gwinner Celebrant. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Vincent de Paul c/o St. Paul Catholic Church.
