Obituary for Marsha Duffey

Marsha Duffey passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 67.  Marsha was born on November 6, 1956, to Jim and Barbara Begg of Columbus Grove, Ohio. Marsha received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Bluffton College in May 1979 and a Master of Arts in Education from Otterbein College in 2004.  She most recently taught Middle School science at St. Brendan School in Hilliard, Ohio.  Marsha is survived by her father, James Begg, husband Joseph, son Matthew (Stephanie) and grandsons Ryan and Alex. She is also survived by her sister Pamela (Gary) Schroeder and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marsha enjoyed gardening, CAPA and Otterbein College theatre, history, her dogs Sadie and Nala, Ohio State football/marching band and Columbus Blue Jackets hockey.  Marsha’s favorite vacation was an Alaskan cruise.  She was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants (Columbus Colony) and volunteered for the Reach to Recovery program for breast cancer patients.

There will be visitation for the Duffey family on Monday, February 19^th from 9 am to 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church located at 41 West College Avenue, Westerville, Ohio.  A funeral service for Marsha will be held afterwards at the church.
