Obituary for Lois Dean

Lois Irene (Boocks) Dean, 73, of Westerville, Genoa Township died on October 20, 2023, at Country View of Sunbury.

Preceded in death by mother, Thelma Irene (Mowery) Schlaegel and father Charles J. Boocks.

Survived by husband John F. Dean, daughter Sara Dean, son-in-law, Peter Hall, and a granddaughter.

Lois was a graduate of Mifflin High School, class of 1967.

Lois devoted many years volunteering in the library at Whittier Elementary School. She also worked at the Westerville Public Library.

In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting baby hats and blankets for friends, family, and local charities.

It was her wish that no services be held.

Lois will be interned at Otterbein Cemetery in Westerville.
