Arrangements

Visitation will take place at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church at 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus Ohio Friday, September 1 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. with rosary and prayer service starting at 6:30 pm and Saturday September 2 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with mass immediately following.  Burial will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Burgettstown, PA September 5th with grave side services.

Richard “R.T.” Harris, age 78, passed away August 28, 2023 after a year-long, courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated in 1963 from Union High School in Burgettstown, PA.  He was a dedicated employee of Delta Airlines for 38 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967, stationed in Germany.  He coached football in the Westerville Junior Football League for several years as well as for Westerville South High School, serving as an Assistant Coach for the freshman team and one year as Head Freshman Coach.  Richard was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio and volunteered as a reader.  He is survived by his son, Patrick (Linda) Harris, grandchildren Madeline, Aidan and Nicholas Harris.  His sister Ruth (Norman) Zwierzchowski, Brother Gary (Debbie) Harris and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighborhood community.  He is proceeded in death by his father Amel and mother Hannah Harris.

His family wishes to extend a thank you to the doctors and nurses at The James Cancer Hospital and a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Central Ohio at OSU Wexner Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio or St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
