Obituary for Barbara Hayhurst

Barbara Hayhurst, age 85, of Westerville, Ohio passed away peacefully on June 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

 

She was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Harriet and Ralph Charlesworth.

Barbara graduated from Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School. She was

A member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, cards and crafts. Barbara retired from Ohio School Boards Association after 27 years. She would regularly attend lunches with dear friends from work.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Kevin Hayhurst, Keith Hayhurst, Kimberley (Tom) Bell, Michelle Hayhurst, Lori (Blair) Hayhurst, daughter in law, Darleen and sister in law Linda McFarland. Grandkids, Jason Bell, David (Ashley) Bell, Neysa (Adam) Smith, Logan Bailey, Jake Hayhurst, Kennedy, Taryn & Payton Hayhurst-Nance. 6 great grandkids, several nieces and nephews and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 41 years, Norman.

Friends may contribute in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.

 

Friends may call on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Hill Funeral Home, 4-7pm.

 

There will be a funeral mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Westerville on Friday at 12PM. Interment directly following at Blendon Township Cemetery.
