Obituary for Rebecca A. Patterson

Rebecca Ann Patterson, 69, died peacefully at home in her sleep Sunday morning, June 11th.  She courageously fought a nearly 2-year battle with stomach cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and her family will miss her greatly.

Proceeded in death by her parents Lewis and Gladys McAllister. Survived by her husband of 45 years, Scott Patterson; her 3 children, Christy Lucius (son-in-law Kevin), Tommy Patterson, and Danny Patterson; her grandson Elliot Lucius; her brother Howard McAllister (sister-in-law Pam); and sister Michelle McBride (brother-in-law Dan).

Always thinking of others before herself, she devoted her life to taking care of her family. Her youngest son Danny was born with Cerebral Palsy, and she worked every day to give him the best life possible.

When Becky was a young girl she loved to go camping and fishing with her family.  Early in her marriage she and her husband Scott loved to go snow skiing visiting 4 states to find great powder and challenging runs.  Among Becky’s favorite things to do was going to Lake Erie with her family. She loved lighthouses and being by the water. One of her greatest joys was playing with her grandson Elliot.

The showing will be at Hill Funeral home in Westerville on Friday 6/16 from 4-6pm.  Catholic mass will be held at St Joseph’s Chapel in Lockbourne on Saturday 6/17 at 10am, with burial immediately following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
