Obituary for Michael David Cox

Michael Cox, age 65, born January 17, 1957 passed away, March 27, 2022.

Michael graduated from Westerville South High School in 1975 where he was very involved in music and arts. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Music degree, majoring in Composition. Michael lived in Los Angeles, California from 1984 - 2020, working as a musician and composer. Michael composed original music for independent films, tv, and theater. His music is featured on 13 compilation CDs.

Preceded in death by beloved mother, Pauline Ramsey, grandmother, Mary Ramsey, favored aunt Phyllis Backus, father-in-law John Blateri, and brother-in-law James Everhart.

Survived by loving wife of 37 years, Cheryl (Blateri) Cox, favored uncle, Harold Backus and cousins, David (Leslie) Backus, Greg (Cheryl) Backus, Tom (Heather) Backus, Amy (Grant) Courtheyn, mother-in-law Ilda Blateri, sister-in-law Jodi Everhart, brother-in-law John (Ann) Blateri, niece Julie (Doug) Sherwood, nephew Joe (Margeaux) Everhart, nephew Reece Blateri, and niece Ally Blateri. Also survived by best friend Steve Mitrione, as well as many friends and relatives.
