Michael Jay Feyh, age 71, of Westerville, passed away peacefully at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s surrounded by his loved ones on May 21, 2020.
He was born on February 10, 1949 to the late Herbert and Edith Feyh in Columbus, Ohio.
As a mortgage banker, Michael built several companies including Morris, Smith, and Feyh. He served and retired in property management from Horizons Assets Management and was currently employed by Tristar Transport. Lovingly known to all as “Mike,” Michael enjoyed time with his family, studying Civil War history, and spending time at his camper on Buckeye Lake.
Michael is survived by his wife, Cathy Bell Best; the mother of his children, Sally Grootendorst; his children, Michelle (Chris) Pitts, Nicole (Sluggo) Woolard, and J.J. (Josh) Lusiak; the grandfather of his children, Charles Greene; grandchildren, Taylor, Ashton, Brandon, Caitlyn, Talya, and Caleb; stepchildren, Jessica Gum, Nancy Best Lockwood, Barb Best, and John Moore and families; and sister-in-law, Lorri Bell.
Due to the current gathering restrictions, there will not be a memorial service. Rather, his ashes will be taken to his favorite vacation spot in Tennessee.
Mike’s family is deeply indebted to the staff at Mount Carmel St.Ann’s hospitality, particularly the nurses in the SICU. We thank you all for your dedication and professionalism.
