Obituary for Janice Jantz

Janice Carol Jantz passed away December 1, 2018 in Westerville, Ohio. Born March 28, 1937 in Flora, Indiana to William Weaver Quinn and Evelyn Bright Quinn Leiter (Ross).She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin Eugene Jantz, in 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Jantz Keller (husband Brian), her son Jeffrey Alan Jantz; sister-in-law, Kay Jantz; nieces and nephews, Mark Jantz, Pete Jantz and Julie Jantz.

Jan worked as an elementary school teacher in the Westerville School District for nearly 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed volunteering for more than a decade at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville and at her church. She loved her “Pool Group” that hung out in the summers at her condominium, her cards group, domino group and the “Friday Movies” group. When her birthday rolled around, we all had to get our reservations in earlywith her because she had so many dear friends who wanted to take her to lunch, to dinner, or just visit and spend time with her. For everyone who knew her, there will be a big ‘Jan’ shaped hole in their lives. She will be as deeply missed as she was deeply loved.

The family’s thanks go out to Warren Seeley of Ameriprise Financial Services and his family for his tireless support of our parents; to the staff and doctors at the James Comprehensive Cancer Center; the staff of Visiting Angels, Brightstar, and most especially to the staff at National Church Residences at Inniswood Village; and to the many friends and family who loved and cared for her.

Calling hours are 4 to 6 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at HILL FUNERAL HOME, Westerville where services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday. Interment St Paul Cemetery
