Obituary for Richard Curran

Richard Patrick Curran, 59 of Westerville Ohio passed on March 11th, 2024.

Richard was also known by family, friends and co-workers as Rick, Dick, or Bud. He grew up in Westerville, attended St. Paul Catholic School, and graduated from Westerville North High School in 1982.

During his lifetime he enjoyed many hobbies including archery, fishing, hunting, dirt bike racing, billiards, and landscaping. He was a true outdoorsman and his jobs were either outside or related to being outside. An avid Rock and Blues music lover, he could usually be found listening to his favorite singers, bands, or going to see them in concert. Spending time outside enjoying his hobbies, as well as spending time with his family and friends is what made him the happiest.

He is preceded in death by his father Michael Curran. Survived by Mother: Lucy Curran (Foster) of Westerville, Daughter Jenna (Curran) Reed, John Reed of Columbus. Stepson Joseph Petruzzi and grandsons Nico and Damien Petruzzi of California. Brothers and Sisters: Colleen (Curran) and Dan Moffat, Doug and Stephanie Curran, Karen (Curran) and Jean-Pierre Fallou, Don Curran, David and Lisa Curran. Nieces, nephew, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends.

Family will receive friends from 4pm to 7 pm, Monday, March 18, 2024 at Hill Funeral Home: 220 S. State St., Westerville, OH 43081. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 19th at 11:00am at Hill Funeral Home.
