Arrangements

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 13, at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville, with a brief service immediately following.

I grew up with a Mike Dillon in Detroit who I considered my best friend. We lost touch with each other when he moved to the Toledo Ohio area unfortunately and I have tried to contact him many times over the years with no luck. I just tried again and saw this obituary. I would really appreciate knowing if this is him. I believe his dad was named Clyde but for sure he had a sister named Karen and they lived on Stahelin in Detroit and Mike graduated from Bennidictine high school in 1971. My phone number is 248-974-4947. Thank you so much in advance Sue!!!

Michael (Mike) D. Dillon passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Mike’s interests included hockey, soccer, NASCAR, fishing, golfing, camping, and working in the yard. He was a beloved youth soccer coach for about 30 years and enjoyed coaching all age groups. Mike liked going to Blue Jackets games, NASCAR races, and fishing with his wife Sue. He also enjoyed family vacations that included taking cruises, and trips to Disney World, and to Frankenmuth, Michigan. Mike had a long career within the retail industry, holding many positions in various companies.

Mike was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 26, 1952. He moved to Toledo, Ohio at the age of 22, where he met his wife, Sue. They were married on March 5, 1976. After living in Michigan for several years a job transfer brought them to Westerville, Ohio in 1983. Mike is survived by his wife Susan Leigh, their daughter Kelly Lynn, their son John Michael, six grandchildren; Kali, Kenzie, Alex, Hailey, Hannah, and Hazel; and two great-grandchildren; Kye and Taegan. Mike was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. We will all miss him very much.
