Tom Hubbard, age 73, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away June 15, 2021, surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas B. and Grace F. Hubbard. Tom is survived by his college sweetheart of 42 years, Romi; daughter Chelsea (Colin) Anderson; son Graham (Mitin) Hubbard; brother Dick (Mary Jo) Hubbard; niece Alison (Matt) Parziale; grandchildren Elisa Hubbard, Evan, Ayla-Rose, Oscar and Freddie Anderson.
Tom graduated from Rosary Hill College in Amherst, New York. In the midst of college, he was drafted into the United States Army. He attended OCS (Officer Candidate School) and served in supply, stationed in Rhode Island and Vietnam. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. After graduating from Rosary Hill College, he married and began a career in technology – initially with Heathkit Electronics and then 30 years with Mettler Toledo. As a dog lover, he always had one or two Wired Hair Fox Terriers. He was an avid bicycle rider. He toured across Ohio many times, rode from Boston to Cleveland, and the Italian and Swiss Alps, and did 25 years of TOSRV.
Tom’s wish was to be interred at Arlington National Cemetery. His parents rest there along with two aunts and an uncle, who served.
