Jacquelyn D'Aguiar

03/31/1943 - 12/21/2020

Jacquelyn (Jackie) J. Morse D’Aguiar, 77, of Columbus passed suddenly at home on December 21, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Aubrey Peter D’Aguiar, mother Louise C. (Bull) Morse, father John J. Morse, brother Bill C. and sisters Betty M. and Mona E.

Survived by niece Lorraine (Mike) Britt, and nephews Daniel (Zaphiero) Morse, Steve Morse, James (Robert) Minutilli, and Daniel Minutilli, several cousins (Ralph, Allen and Sandy Williamson, Ray Bull, and Teresa Collinsworth) and dear brothers and sisters in laws (Tony, Walter, George, Terry, and Peter).

Jackie was an education and science major at The Ohio State University and was a graduate and valedictorian of Worthington High School. Jackie worked in numerous positions in pharmacy, optometry, banking, entertainment (Disney), merchandising (American Greetings), and information technology (Burroughs Corporation, now Unisys) in Guyana with her father. There, she met her husband and soulmate. She volunteered for the Girl Scouts, Eastern Star, and as a precinct election judge. Jackie had a strong faith, and was known as a nice, caring, loving, intelligent, and generous woman who gave back to her family and the community, and donated to important no kill rescue shelters and environmental organizations. She and her husband were avid travelers, animal lovers with several dogs, most recently Angie, and appreciated the arts and literature including Broadway shows, concerts, symphony, and opera. Jackie was a devoted aunt, niece, and neighbor who loved gardening, PBS, intellectual discussions, and culinary crafts.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jackie’s memory to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah 84741, or online at bestfriends.org/inmemory.

Burial arrangements were made by Frank E. Hill Funeral Home, Westerville, with private graveside service and internment at Resurrection Cemetery, Chapel Mausoleum at Lewis Center, OH. Given Covid-19 measures, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
