Friends may call 4 to 7 PM Thursday at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville where services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday. Interment Nevada Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in his memory to the Larry Schiefer Memorial Scholarship Fund or Cozy Cat Cottage Adoption Center.

I was saddened to learn of Len's passing, as he was such a wonderful person.
Having Pat in his life was one of the best things to happen to him, as they enjoyed
boating, travels to Arizona, Florida, and countless activities.

Leonard Charles Schiefer, 76 of Westerville passed away at his home Sunday, November 8, 2015 after a hard fought battle with Myleofibrosis. Preceded in death by his parents Helen Jane Ackerman Schiefer-Beidelschies and Charles Leonard Schiefer; wife, Leora “Bell” Schiefer; brother, Larry E. Schiefer and sister Vicki Schiefer. He will be missed by daughters, Wendy Schiefer and Julie (David) McKenzie; grandsons, Eian, Westin and Justin Banks and Devon and Austin McKenzie. Also 2 nephews and 1 niece, many grand nieces and nephews and 1 great granddaughter. Countless friends. He worked the family farm with his brother. Graduated from Holmes Liberty H.S. in 1957, married Pauline Wilson Schiefer in 1959 and graduated from OSU with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In high school, he was active in FFA, played baseball, basketball, and track. He was a Mason, President of Delaware Lions Club, President of Delaware Hayes Athletic Boosters and a Junior Achievement Advisor. He married Leora “Bell” Schiefer in 1986. Together they shared a love of boating, traveling, and cooking. He worked for Timken Roller Bearings in Columbus, becoming operation manager of the railroad division, from which he retired. He loved to golf. Loved his family and was an avid supporter of his grandsons’ sporting events and other endeavors He loved his kitties. In the last years of his life he enjoyed the company of his very special friend Pat Meyers. Friends may call 4 to 7 PM Thursday at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S.
