Remembering that sweet little 4 yo face when we first met Annie at Little Blessings Preschool.

Obituary for Annie McCrate

Annie McCrate 1999-2024

Annie McCrate

05/17/1999 - 01/29/2024

Annie Faye McCrate, age 24, of Westerville, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, in Westerville, Ohio.  Born on May 17, 1999, Annie had a passion for fast-pitch softball and played varsity at Westerville South High School from where she graduated in 2017.  She went on to play and letter for the Beavers at Bluffton University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Economics with minors in Public Relations and Political Science in 2021.

Annie had a talent for cooking delicious meals with her mom and could make any good recipe she found.  Annie also loved spending time with her dad at the softball fields and on their drives back and forth to Bluffton.  Annie remained close with her brother Eric even across the miles from Westerville to Wheaton, IL where he works.

Employed by Matic Insurance, she was very proud to have recently earned her State of Ohio licensing in Personal Line insurance and was looking forward to starting a career as an Insurance Advisor.

To know Annie was to love her.  Her beautiful smile and kindness never went unnoticed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.  She will be deeply missed.

Annie was preceded in death by grandparents James McCrate, and Keith and Gladys Faye (Miller) Brown.  She is survived by her parents Kevin and Kimberly (Brown) McCrate, brother Eric McCrate, grandmother Mary Eleanor (Dapore) McCrate, uncles Scott (Heidi) McCrate, Sean (Maura) McCrate, aunts Kelli (Steve) Gerasimovich, Jennifer (Tracy) Johnson, Amy Sue McCrate, Mary Beth McCrate, Maureen (Mark) Guckeyson and many cousins and friends, as well as her beloved cat Fig.

There will be a private family service.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks for prayers and loving thoughts.
