Obituary for Austin Cole

Austin Henderson “Bud” Cole was born on February 21, 1932, in Flushing, OH and passed peacefully at his home in Westerville, OH on January 15, 2024. Bud was preceded inn death by his parents Walter and Gertrude, wife Mary Margaret of 50 years and sister Jean Peterson. He was raised farming, went on to care for racehorses, work for Peterson Refuge and retired from Laidlaw. In his retirement Bud mowed for Westerville Estates, enjoyed Ohio State Football, Waffle House omelets, visiting with neighbors and was a doting great grandfather to baby Austin.

He is survived by his daughters Joyce (Mike Peters) Cole and Jennifer (Jeff) Stokes; granddaughters Brittany (Anthony) Hayden and Brandi (Raul) Guadalajara; great grandson Austin and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends.

Viewing will take place at Hill Funeral Home on Thursday January 18, 2024. Interment at Fancher Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bud’s name to Sourcepoint of Delaware County.
