Obituary for Frederick Landig

Frederick R. Landig, Jr., 62 of Westerville, Ohio passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Fred graduated from Westerville North High School in 1980 and continued his education to get his Mechanical Engineering degree from Franklin University in 1993. Fred was the proud President and Owner of Industrial Fabricators, Inc. in Westerville.

Over the years he loved playing basketball and baseball. He loved supporting his favorite teams such as Ohio State basketball and football and the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavs. He even was the proud coach of Matthews’s baseball and basketball teams over the years.

Some of his favorite activities were going to his home in Florida and camping every year with his childhood friends as well as travelling, boating and fishing.

His cherished memories were raising two children with his wife and watching them grow into adults. He was grateful to be a part of Matthew’s wedding and getting to know his daughter-in-law Rachel. He loved her as his own daughter.

Frederick R. Landig was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Dorothy Landig.

Survived by his loving wife Paige Childers Landig; children, Matthew (Rachel) Landig and Rebecca Landig.  He also is survived by sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews and many other friends and family.

Friends may call on Friday, January 12^th from 4pm to 7pm at Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State St., Westerville 43081.  The funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, January 13^th at Hill Funeral Home.  There will be a private family interment at Blendon Central Cemetery following the service.
