Obituary for Edna Roy

Edna M. Roy, 96, of Westerville, Ohio passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023.

Born to Francis Mowrey and Anna Herkenroder on June 1, 1927, in Alexandria, Ohio. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gregory S. Roy of 67 years, and son Bruce A. Roy. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Joe) Moorehead, grandchildren Cameron (Yice) Roy, Joe and Jessica Fox, and daughter in law Sue Roy.

Edna grew up in rural Licking County with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She moved to Westerville in 1943 and was a long-time member of the Methodist Church of the Messiah for 77 years. Edna was active in the Women’s church circle, Children’s Conservation League, and Red Hats.

She enjoyed playing cards, bird watching, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family.

A visitation will be held at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville, on Monday, December 18, 2023, 12pm – 1pm. A service will follow starting at 1pm at the funeral home.
