Obituary for Ronda Wolfe

Ronda Kay Wolfe, of Galena, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 24, 2023, with her loving husband by her side. She was born on June 12, 1954, to Lloyd and Mozell Lyon in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Lyon and Mozell Sparks Lyon and brother, Timothy Von Lyon. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert, her daughter, Julie Lynnette (Wolfe) Cain (James) of Columbus; and her son, Justin (Tamika) Wolfe of Fredrickstown, Ohio, and grandchildren Lloyd, Isaiah, Tawon and Rayanna. Also, her brother Robert and (Stacy) Johnson and nieces and nephews.

Ronda first and foremost was a very present loving mother to her children and a devoted wife to her husband. She graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School. She started working as an administrative assistant immediately after graduation. She retired from Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield after forty and one-half years. She also served twelve years as secretary to the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Total Assurance Credit Union along with Anthem.

She enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved shopping, cooking, gardening, cruising, going to the beach, chocolate and her loving toy poodle, Oliver, who was attached to her most of the time. She loved her family. She often talked about how proud she was of the achievements of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed going out to eat with friends, cooking in her beautiful new kitchen, sending cards to friends and always being willing to help others in need.

Above all she was a devout Christian. She was an active member of the churches she belonged to throughout her life and served as a devoted Sunday School teacher for many years. Most recently serving as a member of the Heritage Christian Church and Life Group where she and her husband faithfully welcomed folks each Sunday as greeters and puppet team members. She read the Bible and prayed often. Her faith was simple and was the foundation of her entire life.

Her greatest wish throughout the endurance of ALS was to live to celebrate their 50^th wedding anniversary and God granted that on October 6. On October 7, an anniversary open house brought many friends and loved ones by to share in their happiness.

We will miss her profoundly, but we rejoice that she is no longer in pain, but at peace in the loving place where she always belonged – the healing arms of a loving God.
