On Saturday September 2, 2023, Marie Margaret McIntosh passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Marie was born Jan 3, 1945 in Reinerton, PA.

Immediately upon graduation she moved to the Washington, DC area where she got a job with the federal government and she also met and married the love of her life, John “Mc” McIntosh. She stayed in the Washington, DC area until 2003 when she retired and moved to the Columbus, OH area to be near her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Verna Patrick, husband Johnie “Mc” McIntosh, brother Joe Patrick and sister Dorothy Ann Patrick.

She is survived by her children Robin (Craig) Dunn and Jason (Martha) McIntosh and grandchildren Lillian (Eric) Bormann, McKenzie, Collin, and Caiden Dunn, and great-granddaughter Aylah Bormann. Along with two brothers, Robert Patrick of Marysville, PA and Marlin Patrick of Silver Spring, MD and one sister Helen Bowman of Winter Park, FL.

She retired from the federal government where she worked for many years at the National Science Foundation. She started as a secretary and worked her way up. She retired as a graphic designer after 40 years. She found joy in her work and was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in many prominent projects.

Marie survived polio as a young child and was active in post polio groups for many years. She was also a long time member of the travel club Still Going Strong where she traveled often in a pre-COVID world.

In addition to traveling, she also enjoyed crafting and sewing and sharing her life with her grandchildren on a daily basis.
