Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation, which will be held at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville, Ohio on July 25 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Catholic mass will be held at St Paul’s Catholic Church in Westerville on July 26 at 10:30 a.m., with burial immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center.

So sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. Jim was one of the nicest people you ever want to meet. May Jim Rest in Peace.

James Thomas Brady

February 5, 1949 – July 18, 2023

James Brady, 74, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023, at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Elinor Brady and brother-in-law, Glenn Ferrarie. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on February 5, 1949. He grew up in Steubenville and attended Steubenville Catholic Central High School (Class of 1967). Following high school graduation, Jim attended The Ohio State University, the College of Steubenville, and Jefferson Technical College. 

He worked in the payroll department at Weirton Steel Corporation until his retirement in 2004. In 2005, Jim moved to Columbus, Ohio to be near his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. He was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Steubenville and St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Westerville, Ohio. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; son, Michael (Colleen) Brady of Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren: Jake and Hannah Brady; one sister: Charlotte Ferrarie; one brother: Dave (Theresa) Brady; as well as, beloved nieces, nephews, dear friends, and granddogs: Zoey and Rocco Brady.
