A Viewing will be held October, 7th, from 2pm – 4pm and 5pm-7pm at Hill Funeral home 220 S. State St. Westerville. A Service will follow October, 8th at 10am Saturday at Hill Funeral home, with interment @ Blendon Twp. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Susan Komen Foundation or WARM are encouraged.

Diane Lynne (Swope) Stauch 62, passed away October 2, 2022, surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous 5 year battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Diane was born in the Baltimore /Glen Burnie area of Maryland. Her childhood days were spent in Maryland, West Virginia, then Cincinnati, before her family made the move to Westerville, in 1969.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Ron and JoAnn Swope and Daughter Shannon Stauch.

Diane is survived by her loving husband Scott, Son Stephen (Kate) Stauch, and grandchildren Lucas and Abigail Stauch. Brother Brian (Jenny) Swope, Sister-in-law Karen, niece Kristen (Adam) Zimmerman and great-nephew Everett.

After her move to Westerville, Diane became heavily involved in dance with the Straub studio. She graduated from Westerville South in 1978, where she was a member of the Drill Team. She attended Ohio U and Columbus State.

After school, Diane spent several years as Buyer for Madison’s. Then she worked as a job coach for Westerville City Schools, helping students thrive in a work environment. Later, she worked in Loss Prevention at DSW Corporate and Vector Security.

Always the optimist and dedicated mom, Diane enjoyed being a dance mom and baseball mom, working on activities and traveling to various events to support her beloved children. Later in life, Hilton Head was her favorite destination, spending time on the beach with family and friends. When the grandkids arrived, they brought great joy to her during her battle and was her central focus late in life relishing her “Nana” moniker.
