Obituary for Pamela Marie Smith

Pamela Marie Smith (née Opich), of Westerville, OH, passed away on May 8, 2023. 

Pamela was born on May 14, 1952, in Cleveland, OH. She attended Morgan High School in McConnelsville, OH and Bowling Green State University. She went on to work as a teacher and guidance counselor at numerous Ohio schools including Mansfield Senior High School, where she remained until her retirement in 2006 after 30 years of service. Pamela was a loving mother and grandmother who was known for her great sense of humor and passion for education. She enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her daughter and grandchildren especially after retiring. Pamela made many treasured memories including numerous mother-daughter vacations and countless hours playing games with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and music-lover.

Pamela is survived by daughter Stephanie Wylie (husband Steve); grandchildren Connor, Drew, Anna, and Ryan; sister Michelle Lucas (husband Kenny); Mother, Dolores Opich along with multiple nieces and nephews. Pamela was preceded in death by her father Steve Opich and her sister Deborah Lacey.
