Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 8, 2023 at St Paul Catholic Church. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 7, 2023, 3:00 PM tp 5:00 PM. 

Mass will be livestreamed on the YouTube channel of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

Cecilia Ann Guzzo of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Mesa, Arizona on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

Born on September 9, 1931, Cecilia “Ceil” Korpieski married Carl Guzzo on May 2, 1953. Together they raised four daughters in Westerville, founded Carl Ceil’s softball teams which played for 30 years and built a community of friends and loved ones with their lively and generous nature. A true social butterfly, Cecilia’s community was wide, her hosting legendary and her zest for life notable to all who met her. Her joyful spirit was seen in playing games withfriends, boat rides at Candlewood Lake, patio days at the Villages in Arizona, golfing with her friends until the age of 81, bocce nights in Westerville, and the family’s Polish Christmas celebration.

Always a faithful member of the Catholic Church, particularly St. Paul the Apostle in Westerville, Cecilia’s solid example taught the importance of family, friends, and faith. She wasa source of unending love and support for her family members

.Cecilia will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Carla (Scott) Stanley, Gina (Tim) Peart, Julie Mussio and Suzanne Hall; her grandchildren Nicole Hobson, Dustin Stanley, Renee Stanley, Ryan Stanley, Jonathan (Rosalyn) Stanley, Gina (Marco Rossi) Mussio and August Hall; her great-grandchildren Reilly and Ava Hobson, Adeline and Penelope Rossi, Oliver and Jonathan “Jon-Jon” Stanley; her sister Josephine “Boo-Boo” Koch; sisters-in-law Paula Korpieski, Margaret Guzzo and Judy Guzzo; brothers-in-law John Guzzo and Mike Guzzo; andnumerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Dominica Korpieski; brothers, Joe Korpieski, Stanley Korpieski and Leo Korpieski; sisters, Irene Guzik and Mary James; sons-in-law, Jim Mussio and Troy Hall; grandson-in-law, Jason Hobson; great-granddaughter, Eloise Stanley; as well as her beloved husband Carl, with whom she was married for 56 years until his death in 2009

.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N State Street, Westerville, on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 10:30 am. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Hill’s Funeral Home, 220 S State Street, Westerville, also, one hour before the funeral mass in the church parlor. Internment will follow the Mass at Blendon Central Cemetery.
