Obituary for Elizabeth Griffel

Liz N Griffel, born in Hazard, Kentucky, moved to Hamilton with her parents and two sisters. She graduated from Fairfield High School, Miami University, and Xavier University. She was both a teacher and principal for the Fairfield City Schools.

She leaves behind a husband of fifty-seven years, a daughter, three grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless friends and colleagues.

She loved to read, travel, work in her garden, and be with her many friends. But her real joy was being with David, Murphy, and Paige, her grandchildren. She will be missed by everyone who worked, worshipped, or socialized with her. The world was a better place because of her. A memorial service will be announced later. In lieu of flowers please donate in her memory to a charity of your choice.
