Family will receive friends and family from 12:00 pm - 1pm on Friday, March 10, 2023, at HILL FUNERAL HOME, Westerville.  Service will start at 1:00 pm followed by interment at Pioneer Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association in memory of her husband Ralph in hopes that one day there will be a cure for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Reta Pollock a Westerville resident for 64 years passed away peacefully Monday March 6th, 2023, at the age of 93.

 

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A woman of strong faith her faith and family meant everything to her. In younger years she served The Church of Messiah in many different ways, being a 58-year member. She treasured her family bible and read her devotional everyday.

 

She loved playing all types of card games, especially Euchre. Even at 93 she could hold her own with the best of them. If she could make you laugh, then her day was good. She was a born entertainer. Her family will always remember her golden brownies with green icing, rolled pie dough cinnamon treats andher Johnny Marzetti. (the secret ingredient was brown sugar) She loved sharing her homemade treats with her neighbors as well.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Ralph, her parents George and Cora Parkison,brothers Clarence (Ruth), Richard (Pauline)and George Jr (Louise)Parkison, sisters Martha (Kenneth)Smith,Barbara (John)Siegfried, Mary Kilgore.

Survived by son Gary (Nancy)Pollock, daughter Nadine (Greg)Garee. Grandchildren, Will Garee, Jason(Stephanie)Garee, Kyle (Wayne)Phillips, Randy (Megan)Pollock. Great grandchildren Evie Garee, WestonGaree, Kirsten Phillips, Jordan, Gabriella, Micah Pollock. Many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and her daughter’s sweet little dog Winky she called “my dog”.
