Condolences

Condolence From: George Sylvester, Franklin, Tn
Condolence: Karen was a classmate of mine through Jr high and high school. As I read the positive impact that Karen has made on so many lives, I must say I am not surprised. Karen has touched so many and has provided an example to all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

Condolence From: David Sanders, Westerville, OH
Condolence: Dearest Karen,
I am so very sad that you are no longer with us and I think this sadness will last forever. I very much enjoyed our twelve plus years together and I especially loved the two of us living together these past five years in our beautiful condo in Westerville. We had a lot of great times and went on many wonderful trips. Sharing these with you made them special. Thank you so much for sharing the role of grandparent with me. You just loved it when Corinne, Jocelyn and Devin called you Grandma Karen! You will be missed by so many.

Your loving partner,
Dave Sanders

Condolence From: Jan Johnson, Seattle, Washington
Condolence: Karen,

I will remember you always as a deeply courageous woman masquerading as someone quite ordinary: kindergarten teacher, "soccer' mom, home holiday decorator, Good Friday shopper, Buckeyes fan, good friend to many. And through of all that everyday living - through 25 years, or over 9000 days of everyday living - you did whatever you needed to do to keep cancer at bay with rarely a complaint. The most I ever heard you say was "this isn't always easy". And yet you made it look just that. It is no wonder that your two sons feel adrift without their rock, which leaves me with the urge to try to swoop them up (hard when they are grown men) and try to provide them with a small sliver of what you were able to give them each day, just by being you.

Rest in peace. Much love, Jan

Condolence From: Dora Higgenbotham, Delaware, OHIO
Condolence: To Karen's Family and loved ones, my sincere condolences

Karen was my biggest supporter as a colleague at Woodward Elementary School - at my wedding, visiting the hospital at the birth of my first child, and many more special life events. Karen with Margaret never missed a book signing.

Karen's heart was big, and her friendship was genuine.

Karen's life was a blessing to many, and her memory will be treasured.

Karen is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
I will hold those memories in my heart until I see her in heaven.

Karen has met the One who loves her, and I can only imagine what her soul and spirit is viewing in the City Of God.

Karen's soul and spirit now live without pain and in peace.
<3 Dora Higgenbotham

Condolence From: Gayle Reidenbach, Delaware, OH
Condolence: May all the great memories you have of Karen’s time with you wrap around your heart and give you strength during the hard moments.
She was a very special friend through both the hard and the good times. She had THE most positive attitude anyone could possibly have. She was strong and smart! She loved Andy and Ben to the moon and back. I’m so glad she had Dave. Thank you Karen for being You
