Obituary for Donna "Susie" Glenn

Donna ‘Susie’ Rase Glenn died Feb 12, 2021 after being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.

She was born October 26, 1949 in Portmouth, Ohio to the late Willard and Leah Jane (Franck) Rase. Donna was a proud graduate of Valley High School in Lucasville and Ohio University. After teaching elementary school, she and Leroy ‘Buck’ Glenn opened Glenn Bookkeeping Service in Columbus.

Susie was a dedicated Lutheran church goer. She enjoyed lunches with friends and time with her family. Susie constantly put others’ needs before her own. While cancer may have stole this beautiful soul from us, Susie will have the last laugh; she would not have wanted to watch Jeopardy! without Alex Trebek. She is forever a part of out hearts and we are better for having known her.

Donna is survived by her husband Buck Glenn, daughter Rachel (Andy) Bean, granddaughters Delaney and Dani, sister Marsha Rase and all her Valley girls. She is preceded in death by her sister Pamela.  

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CALLING HOURS: Due to Covid 19, EVERYONE wishing to attend calling hours at HILL FUNERAL HOME MUST call HILL FUNERAL HOME at 614-882-2121 between 8:30 and 5 pm Monday through Wednesday to reserve one of the 25 visiting slots per half hour starting at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Masks are mandatory. NO EXCEPTIONS. The Funeral Service will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday at HILL FUNERAL HOME. Services can be viewed at Hill Funeral Home's YouTube channel. Additional calling hours Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Ralph Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth followed by burial at St John Lutheran Cemetery.
