Deepest sympathy. I will truly miss Ray. My own Father even knew him from H.H. Robertson days. Ray was a great man, and I always enjoyed sharing his company. He even made work fun.

Raymond J Frenz Jr., 86, of Westerville, OH and Estero, FL, husband to Barbara and father of four children, lost his short battle to Covid-19 on Jan.15, 2021.

Raymond, Jr was born on Dec. 17, 1934, Rochester, NY to Marie and Raymond Frenz Sr. Ray received his civil engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1956 and worked for 30 years for HH Robertson Company before owning Bluesail Companies later in life.

He had a passion for golfing and was a long time member of Brookside Country Club and Pelican Sound Golf and River Club. Ray also enjoyed boating with his family and friends on Lake Erie and the St. Lawrence River.

Ray was proceeded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn (Bud) Scrantom. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barb, his children, Karin (Mark) Bildsten, Raymond (Tammy, girlfriend) Frenz III, Thomas (Alice) Frenz, Mary Beth (Ronald) Taylor, grandchildren, Catherine (Benjamin) Miller, Rebecca (Devin) Frank, Jason Frenz, Melissa Taylor, Kirsten (Andrew) Yarbrough, Barbara-Raye (Zachary) Stegner, Kaelyn Bildsten, and great grandson, Theodore Taylor Frank as well as his sister, Kathi (Dennis) McCarthy, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, Westerville on Sat., Jan 23 at 10:30 with an option to join via livestream. Social distance guidelines will be followed and masks required.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Ray’s memory to Friends of Faith Pruden Foundation, a local organization supporting kids fighting cancer, www.faithprudenfoundation.org or the Marfan Foundation, www.marfan.org.
