Condolences

Condolence From: Delores Greene, Columbus, Ohio
Condolence: I will miss his letters and his bible study notes. The prayer requests that were sent came to mind today as I realized I had not read an email for a long time. My last email was May 20 something in 2020. I miss Jon Swanson's love of the Lord.

Condolence From: Wendy Lomano, Westerville, Ohio
Condolence: I am greatly saddened to learn of Jon's passing; heaven has gained an angel and we here on Earth have lost a very wonderful man. While I usually interacted solely online with Jon via email, I always enjoyed our brief phone discussions about the CPG newsletters and life: Jon was one of the sweetest, kindest, and most humorous people I've had the privilege to work with. He inspired those around him to be better, to work toward growth in their faith in Jesus, and to be kind. To Peggy and Jon's family: you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: To the family of my beloved brother in the ministry:

My heart is with you in both sadness and in rejoicing. Sadness because it will be a little while before we see Brother Jon again and rejoicing because he is with the Lord that he loves so much and who loves him.

Know that our prayers are with you all and that God's promises are true.

Condolence From: Joanne Ingledue, Westerville, Ohio
Condolence: Tonight my heart is hurting, having read Cheryl’s message of John’s passing. I had the greatest respect for this man and all he gave to the prisoners in our area prisons. I looked forward to his words and requests for prayer from the prisoners who leaned on him so much for support. He will be missed so much. My sincere condolences to all of his family and friends and to those prisoners who will miss this Godly man. John, continue your work up there in Heaven and I look forward to the day we are all joined together again in Heaven. RIP my dear friend.

closer to The Lord. His long battle with cancer is over and he is home.

Condolence From: Ann Coughlin, Greenwich, CT
Condolence: Please accept my sympathy on the loss of your husband/father whom I only knew thru his ministry as one who prayed for his Bible study group. Once diagnosed, I prayed for him and you, too! His faith and perseverance were truly inspiring.
May God’s love surround you, his loving family, now and in the future. He will be missed by his prisoners and the group he guided to join in prayer. Ann

Condolence: I have missed Jon's weekly e-mails recently, and surmised that his health had worsened. Now he is disease-free and with his Heavenly Father. He was a devoted Christian and a blessing to the prison inmates for whom we still pray
