Obituary for Judith Ann Sisk

Judith Ann Sisk 1937-2020

Judith Ann Sisk

09/09/1937 - 06/13/2020

Judith Ann Sisk, 82, passed away peacefully on June 13th after a brief illness surrounded by her family.

Judith was born and raised in in Columbus and was a long time resident of Westerville.

Survived by sister: Norma Armstrong; four children: Susan (Ron) Poore, Mike (Julie) Sisk, Pat (Jennifer Long) Sisk, and Mark Sisk; 3 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents: Ruth and Albert Hasebrook Sr. and brother Albert Hasebrook Jr.

Judy (Grandma Judy to many) shared her love of God and her family through her creative talents, skills and sense of humor. She was a skilled at sewing, knitting, crochet, painting and crafts of all types and was always willing to make time to teach others. Judy touched many people during her life. She was the mother who could be counted on to supply the class with handmade finger puppets for holidays, uniforms for afterschool sports and was happy to sew up a last minute costume for a play. She loved to make something that would help others or brighten their day. Family and friends were often the recipients of her knit or embroidered items, a warm pair of pjs or a fleece blanket.

She loved learning and was never afraid to venture into a new craft or skill. She managed her own Etsy shop up until her death and was famous for being able to answer technical questions about Word, much to the amazement of her children’s coworkers.
Her notes about how God can motivate, guide and heal were always present but she had a firm belief that there were few things a trip to Joanne’s and nice cold Pepsi couldn’t fix.

She leaves behind many funny memories and stories that will be shared for years to come.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to W.A.R.M. (Westerville Area Resource Ministries) to continue Judy’s love of sharing God’s gifts to help others.
