Obituary for Rev. Walter W. Jeffries

Rev. Walter W. Jeffries, age 90 of Westerville went to heaven on December 16, 2014. Rev. Walter pastored for 25 years before becoming District Superintendent of Wesley Church of Ohio. He was also on the Board Of Trustees of Indiana Wesleyan University and affiliated with the Salvation Army and Firestone. He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Charlotte; children Roger Jeffries and Marilyn Brown; sisters Naomi Myers and Beatrice Zehrung. Survived by his wife Alma; siblings Gladys Favorite and Francis Jeffries; son-in-law Jerry Brown; 3 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; numerous other family members and friends. Friends may call 9:30 to 10:30 AM Saturday at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220,S.State St., Westerville where services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may honor his remembrance with contributions to Hephzibah Children’s Home, 6601 Zebulon Rd., Macon, GA 31220-7606.
