Donald Lewis Huffman, born November 16, 1926 in Clintonville, Ohio. He passed away on December 16, 2014 at Friendship Village of Columbus. He attended Columbus North High School. He graduated from The Ohio State University and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi. Donald worked at the Electrical Science Laboratory as a graduate student and earned several graduate degrees at Ohio State including a PhD in Electrical Engineering in 1970. He was an Avionics Engineer by profession and was employed by Westinghouse, Goodyear, North American Rockwell, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Newark Air Force Station. He was preceded in death by his mother Eudora and brother David Huffman and is survived by his caring wife of 58 years, Jean. They were long time residents of Westerville and members of the Church of the Messiah. They spent winters in Cape Coral, Florida. Donald will be missed by his children Tim, Donna (Steven Holloway), Ken (Chris Chandler), and Marcia (Steve) Korane. Donald was the grandfather to Catherine Holloway (John Doucette); Marissa, Kaitlin, and Claire Huffman; and Joseph and Mattie Korane. Donald is also survived by two nieces and a nephew. Friends may call 4 to 6 pm Thursday at HILL FUNERAL HOME with services at the Church of Messiah on Friday at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
