Obituary for Lisa L. Douglas

Lisa Leann Douglas (formerly Watson, Shoemaker), age 45 of Westerville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on August 1st, 2019 at The Ohio State University Medical Center.

Lisa was born December 20, 1973 in Galion, Ohio. Active throughout her school years, she was a baton twirler and a member of Galion High School’s tennis team. She graduated from Galion High School in 1992. Lisa recently enrolled at Columbus State Community College to continue pursuit of her associate’s degree. She was currently working at Brightview Enterprise Solutions as a Client Relations Partner.

Lisa’s “drive” was the love for her daughter Mikayleigh. Blessed with the voice of an “angel”, Lisa was an accomplished singer who had sung at many public events. Just as moving as her voice was, she was caring, sweet and generous; touching many lives of those around her.

She is survived by her husband Ron Douglas, her daughter Mikayleigh Shoemaker-Ballard, parents Marilyn and Gene Watson, brothers Michael and Mark Watson.

Visitation for family and friends will be at Westerville Community United Church of Christ, 770 County Line Rd., Westerville, OH 43081 from 11 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, August 8th, 2019. A service will be held at 1 PM with Pastor Dave Davenport officiating. Lisa will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 7060 State Route 3 Westerville, OH 43082. A reception is scheduled to immediately follow the burial service at Westerville Community United Church of Christ.
