I taught second grade with Maureen her first year at Taylor Road Elementary. She was an amazing educator. The creative ways that she used to reach each and every individual student showed her insightfulness and caring love for children. I was aware that she went on to earn National Board Certification. What an honor! We last met at a conference and once again, I saw the spark of life that Maureen carried in her eyes and felt the warmth of her bubbly personality. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, knowing that her children will carry on her enthusiasm.
