Condolences

Condolence From: Ralph Sievert, Minneapolis, MN
Condolence: Karen & Guy & family -
For some reason John popped into Pam & my heads just tonight. We did a quick search to learn the news of his passing. I'll never forget how John welcomed me to Columbus and your family while I was at OSU. He was so much fun during our DeMolay, Priory & Masonic adventures. I still laugh to myself now & then when I think of his sense of humor. He typically greeted me with, "Hello Butt- Rash". I also recall another quote being, "I love teaching but I hate kids". It was an honor having him in our wedding party. I know how much he loved you two and how proud he was of you both. He certainly could mix up a mean batch of Mom Mower ice tea. I certainly wish I had stayed in touch over the years. Please know that Pam & I are truly saddened & sorry for your loss. Im sure glad our paths crossed. I'm a happier person having known him. Love to all........Ralph

Condolence From: Jim Hale, Fairborn, OH
Condolence: Guy,
I don't know if you would remember me, but I knew John and your dad, Bruce in the Order of the Arrow Katinonkwat Lodge back in the mid 60s to early 70s. You were just coming up as I was heading off to college. I have great memories of John--he was a very active member and he was my mentor as I learned ritual parts for the ceremonies. John also mentored my dad when he joined the Masons in the early 70s and helped dad memorize the required materials. John was the chief at my Vigil in 1970. I was very sorry to learn of John's passing. May God's peace be with you and your family in this time of sorrow. Jim Hale

Condolence From: Tammy Nauman, Ostrander, OH
Condolence: Dear Guy, Karen & families,
When I think of John, I smile. He could sure make me laugh. I was thinking earlier today about the road trip we took with Mary & my Mom to Fostoria Glass many many years ago. It was a fun day. We watched the movie "What's up Doc" together and to this day, when I see it, I think of him & how much we laughed. I just want all of you to know that even though its been about 25 years since I last saw him, I am thinking of him, my "old friend" with love & happy memories. Hugs to all of you!! Tammy
