Obituary for Robert Perrin

Robert Perrin 1924-2018

Robert Perrin

08/17/1924 - 01/22/2018

Robert Henry Perrin, born August 17, 1924, in Washington state passed on January 22. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorna Storgaard Perrin and daughter, Barbara Nell Perrin. He is survived by his grandson, Martin H. Perrin; brother-in-law, Kenneth B. Marshall; niece, Marilyn S. Marshall-Goetz, and nephews: David L. Marshall and Richard W. Marshall. Robert was an extraordinary man with a keen intellect and multiple talents. He was gifted musically (playing the violin and viola), fluent in multiple languages, and an amazing historian. Despite his many abilities, he was an extremely humble man with a great sense of humor and inviting smile. His love for books was unparalleled as was his love for music. Everyone who knew him, loved him. He had a devoted volunteer from St. Paul's, Joe Ancilien, who faithfully visited him weekly. His visits began with discussing literature, playing games, and listening to the stories of Robert. As Robert's abilities waned, their visits consisted of Joe sitting and reading to him from the books Mr. Perrin so loved. Thank-you Joe for your devotion. Also, a special thanks to his guardian. Robert was a WWII Veteran, serving with the Cavalry in the China-Burma-India Theater. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at HILL FUNERAL HOME
