Rae Ellen Leonard Obituary - Hill Funeral Home

Arrangements

Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio. A private family celebration of her life was held

I knew Rae Ellen by bringing her the Eucharist which she was soooo very anxious to receive. She shared with me stories of her time in California and her right to life interests. The week of Carolyn's birthday she asked me to help her write a poem to her. She struggled tearfully to convey to me each word from her heart. She told me that Carolyn's birthday was on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and I gave her a hand made rosary from the shrine as a gift for her sister. She was so grateful to be able to give her sister a gift. Her smile and energy of spirit was a testimony of her love for God,family and friends. It was such a blessing for me to know her even for such a short time from when she entered Altercare. She will always have a special place in my heart. I will pray for her soul and for all her family and friends who mourn her loss.
