Obituary for John Arthur Bell

John A. Bell, 65, of Westerville, passed away on September 22, 2017 at Kobacker House after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. John was born in Dayton, Ohio on Oct. 29, 1951, to the late John L. and Janet Bell. He was an accountant at Liebert Corp., the YMCA of Newark, and McKnight Construction. He received an undergraduate degree from Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana, and an MBA from the University of Dayton. He enjoyed playing his many guitars, camping and hiking, gardening, singing in the Maize Manor choir, and visiting with friends. John is survived by Diana, his wife of 42 years; sons Dan (Holly) and Jeff, and beloved grandson Lucas; Sister Linda (Jim) Gorman and Peter (Sheila) Bell, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be 4-7pm Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State St. in Westerville. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 10:30am at Maize Manor United Methodist Church, 3901 Maize Rd., Columbus, OH 43224. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM) or Maize Manor UMC
