John P. Morris (Pat), and known by work buddies as Coz, age 60, left his family peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2017 after a long battle of COPD, and lung cancer.  He is  Preceded in death by father, John (Bus); mother, Waltus; sisters, Madeline Wicker, Gwendolyn Morris, and Rebecca Riley.  He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his daughter's, Rachel and Roxie; his grandchildren,  Chelsea, Brandon, McKenna, Blake, Cameron, Danica, great grand daughter, Aubrey; and his siblings, Joyce Sprague, and Paul Morris.  He also loved his nieces, and nephews, his in-laws, and his work family.  He loved music, playing his drums, and living life his way. He worked at AEP for over 40 years where he worked as a lineman, a troubleman, and retired as a station servicer.  He was surrounded by his family during the last months of his life. The family would like to give a special thanks to hospice Nurse Case Manager, Dale Brugler, and all of the Mount Carmel Hospice staff for helping in keeping him comfortable in those last few months of his life. Pat was born in Nelsonville, Ohio on December 30, 1956 and grew up in Whitehall, Ohio. He later moved to Westerville, Ohio with his wife, and children, where he resided until his final days.  Family and friends are invited to his memorial service on Sunday, September 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by a gathering at the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice for continuing support of palliative patients and their families.  Their address is 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215-1039.
