Obituary for Jerome Clayton Patterson

Jerome (Jerry) C. Patterson, passed away on August 9, 2014 after a valiant battle with brain cancer. He faced his illness with courage, humor and grace. He is survived by sisters, Jean (James), Janet (Robert), brother, Timothy (Kimberly), nephews Robbie and Charlie, nieces Leah, Stephanie, Allison, Sarah and Molly. He is also survived by many dear friends, including Kim, Bill, Bart, Randy and Terry; and many more. He was an active member of Alcoholics' Anonymous and remained grateful for the fellowship and community that were so vital to his years of sobriety. He was preceded in death by his parents; Dorothy and James Patterson. Jerry's family and friends were inspired by how he embraced life; and how he accepted his illness, but was never defeated by it. He will be missed. A memorial service is being planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Ohio State Cancer Care Center - James. Arrangements handled by HILL FUNERAL HOME, Westerville.
