Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 and 10  to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 6 at Vineyard Church of Columbus, 6000 Cooper Road, Westerville.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Vineyard Church of Columbus with Pastor Kerry Davis officiating. Contributions in Doug's memory may be made to benefit his daughter Danielle's college education, payable to Angela Rollyson.

Doug E. Rollyson, Sr., 55, of Westerville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the  Muirfield Village Golf Tournament in Dublin of an apparent heart attack. Born in Charleston, West Virginia August 22, 1961, he is the son of Derald B. Rollyson, Sr. and Jacqueline Rollyson.  He married Angela M. "Angel" (Hollabaugh) Rollyson October 20, 1984 and she survives. Doug's family was the center of his life and his first priority. He was a giver and always put others ahead of himself. He was active in the Westerville South Boosters Club, and coached soccer, basketball, and baseball.  Known as "Mr. Fix it", he could literally fix anything. He never worried because he placed his faith and trust in Jesus. He was very active in his church, Vineyard Church of Columbus.  He was a cherished, husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He was a father figure to many and  known as "Dad 2.0 & Mr. Doug" to many of his children's friends. As a giver, Doug gave the "Gift of Life" through his organ and tissue donation, which will benefit many lives for years to come. Doug graduated from Fairmont State University in Fairmont, West Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree.  He was employed as General Manager at Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc., Columbus. In addition to his wife Angel, he is survived by his children, Doug E. "Eich" Rollyson, Jr. of Hilliard, Dawn E. (Dominic) Palumbo of Westerville,  and Danielle E. "Elle" Rollyson at home; mother, Jacqueline Rollyson of Charleston, West Virginia; brother, Derald B. (Rebecca) Rollyson, Jr. of Charleston, West Virginia; sisters, Debra Walker of Cross Lanes, West Virginia Derian Lyons of Wellington, Florida; and step-brother, Robert (Mary) Wylie of Beckley, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, Derald B. Rollyson, Sr. and brother, Dean Rollyson.
