Wanda Lee Harrison
10/13/1932 - 11/28/2016
Wanda Lee (Lemmon) Harrison, 84 of Westerville, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 28, 2016. Wanda graduated from South High School class of 1950. She had worked at Lazarus in downtown Columbus, as a bank teller in Westerville and as a bridal consultant. After retirement, her joy was to help care and spoil her 3 grandchildren. As the life of the party, she enjoyed talking about her perfect 300 bowling games and leading the cheers for her beloved Buckeyes. She not only loved the game of golf but was among the top competitors of her league. Trips to Branson (at least 7) brought her special joy as well a cruising Lake Minocqua on her annual summer visit. In keeping with her love for the Buckeyes, she along with husband Paul and cuz Richard Rhoad, traveled to numerous away football games, and twice journeyed to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Not content only with football, the threesome attended home OSU men and women basketball games for a fantastic array of years. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Paul of 51 years. Closest survivors are daughters Mary Jackson, Robin (Dave) Pierson, grandchildren Kyle Meade, Aimee Jackson and Ale (Karen) Meade, great grandson Joseph Nitsch; sister Rosie Purtee, brother Floyd Lemmon, cousin Richard Rhoad and many other relatives and close friends
