Condolences
Condolence From: Phyllis (Follensbee) Mann, Katy, Texas
Condolence: Cal's keen intellect and gentleness were evident even when he was in elementary school in Rosendale, when I knew him best. He was liked by all.
My condolences to his family and friends.
Condolence From: Martha Mather, Manhattan, KS
Condolence: I had the honor of meeting Cal in person only a few times over the past 25 years. However, as a long-distance, long-time friend and work colleague of Libby’s, I came to know “Dad” indirectly. He was a talented, loving, wise, compassionate man with great character who lived a wonderful life and raised an amazing family. Over a decade ago, I saw a picture he made that depicted what goals we should have at different stages of our lives. A year doesn’t go by that I don’t think of that picture and marvel at what a thoughtful perspective it provided about where we fit into the world at various ages. I know this a painful time. Eventually, I hope the memories of the fabulous person with whom the family shared so many years will provide some comfort. He lived a remarkable life to be celebrated. My best to all. Martha Mather

We are so sad to hear of your Dear Dads passing.
We have very fond memories chatting with him over the years while he would visit you. Your Dad was a wonderful man and he will be missed by so many.
May he be at peace now.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
With much love.

Condolence: My condolences to the Cal Marschall family. I remember meeting Gwen when I was the secretary at Emerson when Bette was principal. Then Don and I also enjoyed Bette and Cal at the many Emerson Christmas home parties. They were a remarkable couple and now they are together once again.

Condolence: I am deeply sorry for your loss. I talked to your Dad and Mom many times at school. They had to be two very special people to have raised such wonderful children.
