Survived by his children, Linda Foor, Mark (Carol) Foor, and Paul Foor; grandsons, Trent and Troy Foor; brother Dave (Sherry); numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call 4 -7 p.m. Monday at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of The Messiah, U.M., 51 N. State St., Westerville. Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Church of the Messiah music fund or to Library donation link, http://www.westervillelibrary.org/donate-library . Les was born in Harlem Township, Ohio, April 20, 1933, to Harold and Ina Foor. Shortly thereafter the Foors moved to Westerville where Les attended Vine Street School. He graduated from Westerville High School in 1951. In high school Les lettered in 3 sports and was senior class vice-president. Les married his high school sweetheart, Mary Lib Thomas, in 1953 while attending Otterbein College. After graduating from Otterbein in 1955 with a BA in Accounting, Les enlisted in the US Navy where he was stationed in the South Pacific on the oiler USS Navasota. His first child, Linda, was born while Les was still overseas. Sons Mark and Paul soon followed as Les began his very successful career in accounting. Les and Mary Lib were members on the Church of the Messiah for many decades with Les serving as the treasurer and Mary Lib as membership secretary for several years. Les very much enjoyed the traditional hymns and church musical programs. Les became a proud grandfather when Trent and Troy were born to Mark and Carol Foor in 1990. Les never showed greater compassion than when he cared for Mary Lib during her battle with ovarian cancer. He never left her side, caring for her and supporting her until her passing in 2007. They were married for over 53 years and were true best friends. Over his lifetime Les enjoyed playing baseball and softball, watching all types of sports, reading, attending church, and completing the daily crossword puzzle. He always looked forward to the annual family vacation to the beach in North Carolina. He also enjoyed talking with old Westerville friends at weekly lunches with the Widowers Club and The Old Buzzards Club. Les never met a stranger and seemed to know someone wherever he went. He was a wonderful husband, family man, father, grandfather, and friend.
